GFS Christ Chic: Don't Judge Me!

This morning, I was listening to Drake/Rihanna's "Take Care" while getting ready for church when I had the last minute genius idea to wear this dress and the belt backward. 

What...I KNOW you're not judging ME!?!?

It could have been the other way around...

I could have been listening to Gospel...on the way to the CLUB!

Ummm hmmm.

*rolls eyes*

*sucks teeth*

I've worn this dress before...it's the same dress on my blog header. 

I thought I would give the red dress a final spin before Spring officially arrives.

In other news...I'm wearing braids...errr...braided twists technically.

I was getting bored with my hair and wanted to give my fro a break so I decided to bring 1995 back. 

Everyone raved about Solange when she wore her box braids circa Poetic Justice...(I raved too:)

So, I figured why not. 

I'm enjoying the new look.

GFS Christ Chic: Denial

Here are all the things I tried to do to avoid accepting the Whitney Houston news:

1. Watch comedies

2. Play Words with Friends

3. Watch House Lies (with Don Cheadle)

4. Watch hours of Friday Night Lights

5. Eat Frenchy's Chicken

6. Catch up on episodes of The Good Wife (soooo good!)

7. Catch up on Up All Night (Maya Rudolph is a comic genius)

8. Planned outfits to pack for The Texas Style Council Conference in a few weeks

But alas, I had to watch the homegoing celebration on CNN.

And honeyyyyyyyy, I've never been so proud to be a believer! 

A believer in Christ, just to be clear.

I'm not a bible thumper and I would suck at being a deacon's wife just because of the dress code but I know what I know.

I am convinced that Whitney's homegoing brought somebody to Christ. 

THAT...was Whitney's final and greatest gift of all.

Now dance to I Wanna Dance with Somebody.

It's A Phase

I've been into pants lately.

It's a phase.

This too shall pass.

But my husband is enjoying the phase. 

I don't wear enough pants for his taste.

My First Ballet!

I was asked out of the blue to go to see The Moulin Rouge ballet performance.
I've never been to one so I jumped at the chance!

Thank you Arianne for the invite!

It was too dark outside to take good pics so I'll take better pics and repost.

Special thanks to Chastity for gifting me the skirt!

My intention was to get it shortened but decided to wear it in its original state one time before I altered it. 

Admittedly, the skirt is a whole lot of drama but when else will I get the opportunity to wear a ballet skirt to a real ballet!??!
