Well, Hello There!

 

I'm just going to get right to it! I just realized that I mentioned this news on Facebook and Instagram weeks ago...(Do you follow me?) but I just realized that I didn't share it with you guys!

 

 

I am pregnant again!

17 weeks today!

And it's a boy!

Chile.............

The first trimester was TERRIBLE! I hated it so much! But the second trimester is allowing me to be productive. I have been SUPER stressed out about my job and other things so I've been trying to keep myself in check.

 

 

I'm a lot more laid back this time around when it comes to getting prepared. No rush. I've been here before. The baby is due in August. In TEXAS. That means HEAT. HOT! SAUNA!

Ugh.

 

Just thought I would let you know!

By the way, Zara is doing great! She will be 2 in May and we decided to not have a party this  year.  Minnie Mouse cupcakes at home should do the trick.

This explains why I haven't blogged much in the last few months.

My first trimester wouldn't let me be great.

Then I had to wait until Thanksgiving so that my whole family was informed.

(P.S...Hi Lindsay and Staci!!!)

I promise not to turn this into a mommy blog but I will share my struggles of trying to dress a new body. It's already a #thugstruggle.

And I will share doses of the truth because I've found that everybody has been telling me LIES about being pregnant. LIES! LOL

And to think...I was so close to getting a six pack this summer with my Insanity workouts! HA!

It just dawned on me that I've never shown you guys a picture of her!

And can illustrate her butt off!

 Now, that I've sufficiently gagged you with enough pics of my outfit...on to one of the MAIN reasons for my going to Atlanta! The hubby gifted me with a trip to ATL for my birthday, so I had to make the best of my short stay.

You may recall that I had a wedding portrait done by Atlanta's own fine artist/illustrator, Shanda Ferguson. 

What you don't know is that I've never met her before!

Once, we received the portrait the day before the wedding, I immediately added meeting Shanda on my bucket list. We placed the portrait at the entrance of our wedding venue, so when you walked in...it was the first thing you saw!

The portrait is hands down, my favorite thing in my house!

I've chatted with Shanda several times this year and even cried once on the phone when I got the portrait because I was so overwhelmed by its perfection!

What she doesn't know is how much she's inspired me just by talking about focusing on goals and speaking into existence what I want for my future. I love people who are into inspiring and encouraging others.

NOW, THAT'S THE KIND OF ENERGY I WANT TO SURROUND MYSELF WITH ANY DAY!

I enjoyed every single moment of our meeting at The Flying Biscuit this weekend. 

I'm always amazed at people with raw, natural talent and she did not disappoint!

We laughed and giggled like we've know each other for years.
I would gladly accept her into my family, which COULD happen if she ever chooses to...(he he he...inside joke)

Juanette,  Cherie (you'll meet her in a future post), Shanda and I had the best time ever!

It was one of the best girl lunch dates I've had in a long time!

And that Juanette...that one is a hoot! I wish I could do a top ten list of the crazy stuff that comes out of her mouth but I'd have to do some heavy editing! LOL! #classic

Shanda...I heart you in more ways than one!

Single Ladies, Video Vixens and Preacher Wives

Shanda randomly sent me more of her work and I gasped!

She is phenomenal!

She told me that I was her muse when we first started chatting a few months back.

I just blew her off because I thought she was just trying to make me feel pretty!

Then I get these illustrations in my email!

#OMG

I remember joking with her to give me a smaller waist...you know...like a video vixen.

Everybody wants to be a video vixen. Even preacher's wives...even you! Umm hmm.

She remarked that she was going to do the face again to resemble me more. Who wants to look like me when you can like her in the illustration!

Thank you Shanda! This made my day!

P.S...If you watch the new VHI show "Single Ladies" featuring Diamond from Player's Club Lisa Raye and Stacy Dash...you will see more of Shanda's work! Stacy Dash's character plays a fashion designer and boutique owner. Shanda's work is being used for those scenes! So everytime you see Stacy Dash drawing/sketching something...it's Shanda's work! I know really cool people, don't I!

And by "know"...I mean email, call, chat and stalk but never met in the flesh...YET!

Just you wait til I get to Atlanta!

Speechless...Again

I really can't put into words all of the words I am feeling right now. Flattered...honored...freaked out shall have to do!

I really wish the pastor of my church will preach a sermon on the power of Social Media because I am a believer!

Phenomenal Atlanta artist Shanda Ferguson reached out to me through Twitter asking me if she could do some pieces for me.

Umm...YEAH!!!!

Well, here they are! And believe me when I tell you that I screamed when I saw it!
