What Would You Do?

This is as close to a "teacher" outfit I can get. Notice that there are still no apples on my clothing! (Peep the puffy draping on the shoulders of my cardi...I love it)
I got this dress shirt when I was really into shopping in boutiques. That's before I started thrfiting. I would like to announce that I bought this and wore this as a dress three years ago! Ummm hmmm...go ahead and side eye me. That's ok. I rocked this a couple summers ago when I went to Miami for my friend's wedding. I tried to find some pics but I couldn't find any:(.

I will admit that I looked different in it a few years ago. I was on a "just got my tonsils ripped out of my throat and couldn't swallow anything except scrambled eggs and fruitbars for two weeks" diet. Not all that healthy...but VERY effective diet! LOL

I've had this great little conversation book called "Book of Questions" for years. It asks questions that make you think...basically "what would you do" questions. Sometimes I bust out some of these random questions on my students, dates or family gathering...why not BUST OUT some questions on you? Let's start with an easy question:)

If you could increase your I.Q. by 40 points by having an ugly scar stretching from your MOUTH to your EYES, Would you do so?

Great outfit! I have a few things that I would wear back in college that I look at and wonder how i managed to pull it off :) As far as the question...I'm pretty smart as it is, so no, I wouldn't trade 40 points on my IQ for a huge scar on my face!

So not teacher-y. Hot.

And GIRL, no. No. I would be dumb if that's what it takes to be pretty. I do not care how shallow or vain that makes me. Life is easier for the pretty.

YOU ARE SO FUNNY! and you look fab in your shirt/dress!

and no way would i increase my iq 40 points if it involved a gnarly scar. i am already SO SMART. hahah. that last sentence is kind of sarcastic! ;)

Umm no scar. I'm okay with not being that smart!

You look fantastic in the shirt...maybe a tunic but don't call it a dress. LOL. You are too funny.

To answer your question, No I would not trade a large scar on my face for a higher IQ. Sounds totally shallow right? I have a massive ugly scar on my knee and funky toes...I'm dealing with enough outword issues at the moment :-)

What is your answer?

I just came across your blog! I can't believe I've never stumbled on it before. It's fantastic. I love the dress as blouse!

I am going against the grain here and I just *might* be willing to trade a scar for an extra 40 points. I'm in academia and the bar for beauty is pretty low, but extra smarts is at a premium.

Hmmm. That's a tough one. Only because I don't really trust IQ as a true measure of intelligence. But would I trade a large facial scar for alot more verifiable intelligence? I believe so. Yes, I do believe so.

So not teachery! No one ever looked this fab at my school (we had to wear stupid psudo-erotic sailor girl dresses with knee socks or we got detention but what were the teacher’s excuses?)
And no way would I want a scar! What with google, wikipedia and spellcheck there’s absolutely no need to be intelligent in modern society!

It looks so great. LOVE it!

I would NOT take the scar for the intelligence. I already need all the help I can get with my looks :)
