Repeat Offender

Haven't you seen this dress before on this blog? UMMM...yeah...kinda like alot. Don't act like you don't repeat your clothes. I remember seeing an episode  of MTV Cribs years ago and I will never forget that they were featuring Damon Dash (Jay-z's former business...aww..forget it, I'm not on their payroll, you can google him:) Well, I remember watching and he said that he doesn't wear his sneakers or his shirts twice. AS IN...he would wear some sneakers on Monday and literally give them away or throw them away. Really dude? Really? You couldn't ship those kicks over to countries where kids are getting shot with pellot guns for running barefoot to school to get a subpar education?? Anyway...yeah, you've seen this dress before.

The reason you are seeing it yet again is because the dress with this thrifted Ralph Lauren striped buttoned down somehow became the cutest thing in the world to me. (It doesn't take much to please me:) Then, I was looking for shoes and thought OOOOHHHH I'll wear the Aldo shoes that I thrifted from trusty Goodwill!! Hence, you are seeing the dress again. Sue me. Real people repeat their clothes.  You better ask somebody:)
So, it was Thursday and I couldn't wait until the weekend to see the Sex and The City 2 Movie (don't worry, I won't spoil anything for you:). I rearranged my whole after work routine to go see it. The following is what happened in my quest to see the movie:
1. Got Crawfish juice in my eye.
2. Wasted water on my phone while eating.
3. Watched my phone have seizures right before my eyes.
4. Left restaraunt to run errands w my sis n law. (who insisted on calling me Cinderella for wearing a poofy dress, lol)
5. Realized I lost my keys.
6. Found keys back at the "crawfish in my eye" restaraunt
7. Finally made it to the movie. *
8. Took pictures of my shoes in the theater.
9. Watched some drunk ladies get escorted out of the movie theater because they were cackling through the whole movie. (That was pretty funny.)
10. There is no # 10...isn't 1 thru 9 enough?

Don't cry for me though, it's a 3 day weekend! And I have exactly one week from today before my summer vacation starts!

*I think my expectations were too high but  the clothes/style/fashion in the movie was visually stimulating enough to satisfy me. It wasn't bad. I feel like I need to see it again just to focus on one of the characters at a time. My eyes were trying to take in too much visually at one time! lol.*

And thank you to Lori from His/Hers blog for the shout out!( Click here)

Um...Mr. Dash is broke. So there's that. I imagine he's changed his habits now.

You look good. Hope you get your phone going again w/little incident.

I love those shoes and the fact that you got them for a thrift store is amazing! Mine never have anything that good....

I loved it! I don't know if I loved the story line that much, but it was just SO fab to be out with my 2 best girlfriends.

I laughed SO hard. Samantha is OFF THE HOOK! Oh my goodness. That girl is CRAZY! I liked the ending. I laughed that SJP wanted to go out more and not have take out. I freaking love take out : ) and I am lucky if I can go out once a month without my kid : ) i am glad she was happy in the end though. I did not like her wedding hat... or her airplane hat. OH GOOD HEAVENS! And I also wasn't sure about her turban when she first got to Abbi Dabbi. I would think that might have been a little offensive... what do I know though?

Oh, and I LOVED the 20 shoes she got at the booth. And the booth owner. Wasn't he the sweetest?

Sorry about your phone, I ddropped mine in the toilet once that was very unpresent. Who cares if you repeat clothes!?! Damon Dash is rich like that?! (Must be all those Aaaliayh songs he worked on)

Aside from Damon Dash, who is the crazy f+&ker, and I imagine it must be someone in the blogosphere, going around making people feel bad about repeating their outfits? There are so many reasons why that doesn't make any sense. If you find a favorite dress and you don't wear it a million times, can you really call it your favorite? And are any of us really that shallow that we don't have favorites?! Blarggghhhh.

I don't know what I love more. The dress or the shoes. Your style is simply fantastic. I wish I had that kind of "eye."

If one has a relationship with gin, it is a rite of passage to get escorted out of movie theater...eh, or not! Love the dress.

When you blog about clothes, you kinda feel pressured to stay away from repeating I guess :) but I love this dress- it's so pretty and glam I don't blame you for loving it so much. Had to google crawfish juice hehe but anyway, at least your day wasn't boring!

right?! I love how everyone pretends not to repeat ...................

I am hoping to see the movies soon. We don't have a movie theater here, so I am trying to talk the hubby into a little trip. :)

Hey Reiko! Around 15 of us got together dressed in our finest to go see S&TC 2 and out to a martini bar ...anyway we can chat one on one about the movie because I too had mixed feelings about it. I thought there was a lot to be explored with each character, but they cut it short to make room for the trip. Overall I liked it...anyway, you look great and anyone that sits around and keeps tabs on what people wear and how many times they wear it...THEY HAVE NO LIFE!!!

I'm planning to see SATC2 with friend next week...can't wait! Cute shoes.

There's nothing wrong with being a repeat offender, especially when you mix patterns as well as you did with this ensemble.

OMG...I love this look and those shoes are awesomeness!!

I saw SATC2 twice this weekend. The clothes alone were enough the price of admission:D I liked it but I wish there was more Carrie and Big...good grief I love that man!! I would have paid just to see Carrie change clothes and lounge around that fab apartment with Big!

I want to sock Damon Dash for that mess. Gross and so wasteful. Ugh.

You're adorable. And you thrifted those shoes?! Wow. I love it.

Love the pattern mixing, and I plan on seeing it next weekend. Good to hear it wasn't completely awful :)

Love love that dress

I think this is a PERFECT mix of patterns!!! I love it. I'm a repeat offender as well ...I think everyone should be really :) I like to see how I can make an item look completely different by mixing up your wardrobe! Besides being better for the environment, only celebrities who get free clothes wear things once ...lol

...you always leave the nicest comments on my blog. Thank you so much for reading ...and I'm so glad I was your first ;) xoxoxoxo!

Cute dress!

That's so sad about not wearing the same shirt/shoes twice. Really? If I like something, I want to wear it again and again!

crawfish in your eye. girl, we must be related! i have so many debacles that i don't even bother telling them. they happen CONSTANTLY!

BUT ANYWHOO! i love the dress! love the thrifted shoes! love them!

and real people wear their clothes and shoes OVER AND OVER AGAIN. a gahzillion times. and that is how it should be!

i am not dying to see that movie. it looks extra vapid. like vapid to the 40th power. i'm sure i'll see it eventually, but most likely in dvd format so i can cackle through it and not get thrown out of a theatre while doing so!
