This Baby Makes Me Hate Leopard Print!

I'm trying to pull it together to blog regularly.
The truth is I find everything else to do but take outfit pics.
Mainly because I'm struggling with the in between stages of pregnancy.
I'm just past the bloated "she looks like she ate a dozen donuts" for breakfast stage and now into the "I gotta get creative stage."
(Gotta find the battery charger to my camera so Iphone pics will have to do)
(2nd trimester is much kinder to me than the 1st so I've stepped out of pajamas lately
(and yes those are MATERNITY jeans from H&M...I broke down and boought two pair! HA)

So, once I figure out a good formula to work around the belly, I think consistent blogging will happen.

In the mean time, while most pregnant women have food aversions (and I have them too)...I also notice that I have some style aversions that I'm going to charge to being preggers.

Pregnancy Aversions (1st trimester)
1. NO Leopard print!  I CAN'T BELIVE I AM TYPING THIS. I haven't worn one lick of leopard print anything in about 2 months. I really think it's because I saw a lady at work who over did it with leopard print in one outfit and right at that moment, I swore leopard print off. LOL! I'm charging it to the pregnancy. I refuse to even wear my favorite leopard scarf! HA! I'm sure it's just a phase.

2. NO Bracelets! I KNOW !!  I can not be bothered with bracelets. And you guys know I love a good armful of bracelets. Something about the fussiness of it all gets on my nerves these days.

3. NO Big Earrings. It might be because of my new haircut that I prefer small studs lately.

So, while most pregnant women are puking their brains out(I'm lucky I'm not one of them),  I'm having major style side effects! Of course, I am! LOL

P.S....I'm a cliche'. I don't know what it is about pickles and pregnancy but I will rip somebody's face off if I don't eat atleast 3 dill pickles a day!

What are some things that you noticed during your "gut full of human" stages?

During my first one I constantly craved fruit and I cooked a LOT of cheesecakes. Everytime I ate meat I got sick....I was pretty much sick the entire time and she was a girl. With my son I craved lots of pickles and I ate EVERYTHING IN SIGHT in the third trimester.

I just wanted to say I love the new banner header art piece, it's fantastic.

I ate a lot of Lemons in the beginning of my pregnancy. It wore off towards the end...I LOVE mexican food but I couldnt eat it while I was pregnant so that hurt my feelings LOL! The third trimester I ate lots of donuts! I noticed I went through stages while I was pregnant with fashion. Somethings I was up for and others I hated! Im still trying to get back in the swing of things with my heels and my little one is 10 months!!

LMBO, well I have not experienced the gut full of human thing in life yet, but I am glad that you have gotten pass the pajamas only phase. I was starting to worry about you, lol. Are those shoes new? I don't recall seeing them on my last visit, lol.

Awe, such a stylish mommy to be!!

Me I craved french fries like CRAZY with LOTS of ketchup. I would sometimes cook a batch, dump ketchup on them and have that for dinner, LOL!!!! I also LOVED pineapple and strawberries, I didn't eat any other fruit but those two. There are 2 things I couldn't and still can't stand the smell of collard greens and barbeque sauce, I could not stand the smell of those 2 together and still can't I get nauseous. Never had a thing for pickles like some women!! :-)

Each pregnancy was different(I have 3 girls), but my favorite foods I could not even smell let alone eat. Popcorn helped me with nausea.Subway veggie subs saved me..I could not do Red Lobster(sigh ) this was years ago..But I have noticed there are more wardrobe options now. God bless you and congratulations!!!Robin H.

I couldn't look at raw meat which led to me not cooking for my first trimester!

Too cute

Congratulations. I have not had any children, but you have a lot of maternity wardrobe options. I sometimes shop in that area because of my bust (32H). I love Target maternity. The clothes are flattering and depending on what you get, you can still wear it once you no longer are pregnant.

Your style aversions sound reasonable - a fussy print and chunky jewellery can cause irritation even to those who aren't pregnant. (Not that I'm one of them.) Glad you're not puking and I love your chic outfit! Those shoes are gorgeous but then your shoes always are :) xx

Finally a post. We missed you around here! I hope that the no leopard is just a phase cuz you do look fabulous in them...I hated all my clothes and donated them all during pregancy and regretted the whole thing after a delivered. So one word of advice: don't have mood swings and donate everything even if it does not fit now. Kisses!

Congratulations again! All I wanted was steakhouse cheeseburgers and fresh lemonade!

I had severe morning/afternoon/evening sickness, so me and eating did not get along! Matterfact, I only gained 12lbs my whole pregnancy and this was in the 9th month. But I did notice I started hating perfume..even my favs. Yea, good that you bought those pants, as the pregnancy progresses they will come in handy. Some clothes that you thought would fit, will betray you! LOL

I knew I was pregnant because of dill pickles! I smelled them through a closed door of my coworkers having a meeting but that did not deter me, I knocked on the door asked them to hand over the pickles then politely closed the door. Also could not eat anything with tomato sauce. You will love leopard again I am sure and you look comfy and chic...just what every pregnant woman needs.

You are doing great!!! I had a horrible sense of style while I was pregnant and am still struggling to get back to the sassy, sexy, well dressed diva pre baby:( I did a lot of cute maxi dresses, even in the winter! It worked because I would take a cute wrap sweater and wrap it around the top (think bolero jacket) and tie it in the back; knee boots when it was cold, flat or platform sandals in the summer. It was super comfy, hid what you did not want noticed, made the bump look awesome, and saved me a crap load of money on those horrible maternity clothes!

I would down lemonade like my life depended on it.. I'm talking I drank six at a restaurant with my girls and told the waiter to "keep em coming." WTF?

And I loathed the in between stage but let me tell you, you are ROCKING it. I love that collar. Why the heck can't I get my collars to do that?

Clotheswise I could not wear even the smallest heel, not even a KITTEN heel. It made me so sad. I also couldn't stand anything remotely tugging on me on at all. I was like that from month 3 and on.

I craved peanut butter cookies, whole milk and subway sandwiches. I'm talking calling hubby to pick up cookies on the way home -- I absolutely loathe all of those things in real life and haven't eaten them since.
