Transparency...Part II

All pics taken with my Iphone. #badblogger #lazyblogger

(Insert favorite 80's rap song here)

Remember yesterday's post when I was all "I'm Fabulous!" and twirling myself into a coma.
Yeah.  Today...not so much.
I looked through my closet and literally sat Indian Style on my bed staring into my closet.
Today, I'm getting rid of a lot of stuff.
Stuff that's "not me" anymore.
(I ain't talking about my shoes. It won't ever get that bad)
I need new stuff (thrifted also).
I have a lot of clothes but none that tell the story that I want to tell.
I need to streamline some things.
For example, I have a lot of button down shirts.
I rarely wear button downs but why do I have so many?
I want to be simple with a touch of funky.
The stuff that I have now seems "complicated."
Alot of my stuff stands well on it's own but isn't interchangable.
So that's what I'm going to work on.

I did however like this outfit.

Cap: Zara (men's section)
Bag: Zara
Boots: I can't remember who makes them
Ear Cuffs: H&M
Necklace: Aldo Accessories
Sweater: Bebe from about ten years ago (Because who shops there anymore anyway?)

P.S....Zara is doing great! She is 6 months old and I never get tired of her.
Ever.
Her "new thing" is kicking the hell out of people. She thinks it's hilarious!
She also is a pro at eating!
We have become "those" parents. We make all of her food.
It's really simple. And my husband loves doing it.
We both find joy in making fresh food for her instead of store bought baby food.
She LOVES apple sauce and pears. That's her ish!
(I'm already thinking about her 1st bday party!)

I second this! I think you have a denim vest I wouldn't mind getting my hands on...

Girl, you must be reading my mind. I'm about to get rid of stuff too. I still love my clothes, but although I've lost all my baby weight my body is in a different shape and some things just don't look the same. If possible maybe you can mail a few pieces to me. I'm working on putting together a beauty/fashion event catering to homeless women and will need donations. That's where my pieces will be going. We can talk offline if you're interested. Ahhhh, I really wanted to make all of Twin's food from scratch, but... Now she eats what we eat and tha's basically homemade.

Email me at godsfavoriteshoes@yahoo.com . I'm sure I have stuff to send. And you got it! Things aren't fitting me like they used to and it's not all about weight (some of it is) but mostly about my style wants to change so this is a great time to do it

I can totally relate to wanting a no fuss cute outfit to wear ... especially on the weekends. I tend to not want to mess around with "putting an ensemble together", when all hubby and I want to do is go to happy hour real quick for the wings, or grab breakfast at the diner, but I still want to look put together.
The outfit that you're wearing here is exactly what I want to accomplish. You look too cute!!
PS. That first pic reminds me of the song, Buffalo Stance. "No money man, can win my looooove!!"

I know all about no fuss... it gets that way in motherhood, I think. We just want to throw on and look fabulous and run out- whatever is quick, fast, and in a hurry.
You look great girl. And it's wonderful that you guys are making her food!

I absolutely love this message. I thought something was wrong with me because I felt like my clothes weren't "fitting me" anymore. Then, reading your post makes me realize it's perfectly normal to allow your style to evolve with you (my shoes ain't goin' nowhere either LOL)

Cute outfit, and I'm so glad to hear that Zara is doing wonderfully!

It took me a while to figure out what the issue was but now I can get started revamping my style!

The second pic is so editorial with the shadow. I love this outfit. Like you I want to get rid of most of e stuff in my closet. I want more ladylike stuff though and less forever 21 or pre-teen. I need to dress my age. But I am afraid I will regret one dress as soon as I get rid of it so I am holding on to them for a little longer....lol
