I just watched the movie, "Breakfast at Tiffany's" for the first time ever. I get it now. I finally get it!
Oh.My.God. It was style porn for me
. (I'm gonna get ridiculous hits on my blog for using that 'p' word but it's the only word that fits.)
I know everyone was falling all over Audrey Hepburn's iconic black dress but the wardrobe at the "cocktail party"... especially that white dress of one of the party goers...FABULOUS!
Then I saw the black cape and red turban on Patricia Neal (had to look her up, I won't even pretend to act like I really know who she is.)
Flatline_____________dead.
I. Died.
(above pic taken with my Blackberry...yes it was that serious)
Ironically, I was just reading about this movie in Nina Garcia's "The Black Book of Style." I believe now. I believe.
I watched the wardrobe more than the actual movie but I eventually got into it. I watched it with the same eye I would watch SATC back in the day:)
What movie makes you wanna jump through the tv and snatch the wardrobe right of the character's back?
