99 Red Balloons

This post really has nothing to do with balloons but it is my 99th post which makes me think of one of my favorite songs from my childhood. Remember 99 Red (Luft) Balloons by Nena? I used to love that song. I think I was in elementary school when that came out.

I just wanted to show you my "thrifted trenches."
The above pics are of my London Fog thrifted trench for 10 bucks. I got this trench months ago and took these pics a few weeks ago...just now getting around to posting them out of sheer boredom while fighting against being in a funk.

I thrifted this Vintage Burberry Trench a few months back also...Ten whole dollars:) I am one thousand perecent positive that I didn't tie this correctly. It had too many contraptions and I am one of little patience.

Short post... I know.

Great Song.

Only $10! I am so jealous... Here in Victoria it would be marked way up in a thrift store just for being Burberry! Thrifting isn't cheap in one of Canadas most expensive places to live...

OK, this is the deal, I'm going to send you money along with my size! I can NEVER find anything like that here (In NYC, no one is above a size 0. forget about us that actually EAT).

I found out that there is a new thrift store not too far from my home. I'm gonna start taking a look...

Girl, the shoes...FIRE!!!

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!

Oh yeah, I remember 99 Luft Balloons, The singer I believe was from Russia (?); she sang it in English and didn't know a word of English at all.

That is a sharp coat! The shoes are sharp too! Maybe Oprah will do a show on bloggers before she retires! You definitely need to be on it!

Happy 99th post! Great finds. I've been wanting a trench coat for ages, but finding one that fits well on my small frame is too much of a hassle. Or maybe I'm just a lazy shopper.

what lucky finds! i wouldn't have thought to get a pink trench, but the cut and color are quite flattering on you.
"99 red balloons"...oh yeah, i sure remember that song. i was in fashion school when it came out, and in those days MTV was new, and actually played videos. it was one of my favorites. i'm going to watch it now...glad you posted this!

I loved that song and the funny thing...I used to sing the German version like I actually new the words. So basically I would mumble through the whole song only singing 99 Luft Balloons clearly.

I need a damn coat really bad. I need to roll up to GW to see what they got. My GW sucks! I went when I was on break.
