My Boyfriend's Clothes

I've been trying to figure out if I hate or love the new "boyfriend" trend that's popular this season. The objective is to look as if you grabbed your boyfriend's jacket or jeans and walked out of the door.

But...wait, what if your boyfriend's clothes suck or if he's smaller than you or wayyyyyy bigger than you, or what if he is a Little Person? Hmmph...

Sorry, I digress. Since I tend to have more curves, I typically shy away from baggy clothes but I think I found an acceptable version of this look. The key...WEAR HIGH HEELS! If you didn't know, that's me in the center square rocking the Prince T-shirt...again. It can't be helped. I love it. It makes me happy. It brings me joy like a double stuffed oreo and an ice cold Dr. Pepper for breakfast. Joy like when I find a Christian Dior Tuxedo Jacket for $4 (true story).

The Prince Tee simply brings unspeakeable joy...plus I have good memories attached to Prince.
This particular tee is thin and long with a forgiving neckline...it's my favorite Tshirt to date.
So...Sue me:)

Here are the shoes that I wore. Please believe in thine heart that thou shoes hurt like hell:(
**My verdict on the "Boyfriend" Look: It doesn't offend me.

bwhahhaha! i would find it quite difficult to wear any of my boyfriend's clothes! he's more than a foot taller than me and weighs more than 100 pounds more than I do! maybe i could wear one of his t-shirts as a dress.

I must first say that you definitely pulled this look off and I know exactly how you feel. I tried this look again [first time being in the 80's] very recently and it was definitely a.....mmmmmm, I don't know about this look.....feeling.

I agree as well with this style. Not much into the whole look myself, but I do have to say that you were rockin' the look in that center picture! I love that outfit! You're so right...heels are a must with this look!

Popping in from SITS!

Very Cool! I can't do that.
I only wear something of hubby's when I'm in the house. Basektball shorts, sweatpants and I do snag his t- shirts once in a blue.

However, he's 5'11 & I'm 5'2! Nuff said!

LOVE the shoes. And the jeans look great on you.

I'm an hourglass and tend to avoid certain things because I think they will be offensive to my curves. One of those things was skinny jeans, but I bit the bullet and tried them on and they actually look good on me (thanks to a flat butt, I guess). Anyway, I didn't buy them because I am determined to lose 25 more pounds and then they would be too big.

Sorry for the ramble!

yes i also found that wearing highheel with bf jeans makes them sexier and brings the right amount of feminine and chicness to it.

You look GREAT in the boyfriend jeans! I've been worried about trying them as well since I figured they look better on slim-hipped girls but I'll give them a try - thanks for the tip! Enjoying the blog - always happy to see a woman who loves shoes as much as me...

I like the BF trend just because I have a reason to be comfy and wear baggy clothes! And I agree...It looks so much better with heels.

My friend and I were recently talking about how modern society has evolved to become so integrated with technology. Reading this post makes me think back to that discussion we had, and just how inseparable from electronics we have all become.

I don't mean this in a bad way, of course! Ethical concerns aside... I just hope that as the price of memory decreases, the possibility of downloading our memories onto a digital medium becomes a true reality. It's a fantasy that I daydream about almost every day.

I truly believe that we have reached the point where technology has become one with our lives, and I can say with 99% certainty that we have passed the point of no return in our relationship with technology.
