I Visited Hell This Weekend

This is what I wore to hell Chucky Cheese this weekend. OMG! Can we say the kids were on ACID! This was my first visit to Chuckey Cheese...and I never want to be invited again!  I knew there would be kids overload but did they all have to inhale paint before they got there! I felt like I walked into the little shop of horrors!
(Jeggings/Shirt/Cardi/Scarf from Target;Calvin Klein shoes;stolen borrowed hat)

Kids running and crying and jumping and pulling and screaming and getting lost. That dirty Chucky Cheese Rat dancing in the front of the stage. I couldn't even focus! It was sensory overload. My eye started twitching and my hands were getting all sweaty...even all the kids started to all look the same. And before you go all "hard" on me, the mother of the birthday girl looked just as frazzled, I am almost positive that was her first and last time throwing a kiddie party there! When I got back to my car, I started rocking back and forth saying the Lord's Prayer over and over! LOL
I pretty much rocked this scarf with everything this weekend, it makes me happy.
Thrifted Ralph Lauren Blazer; Steve Madden shoes...everything else TARGET!

I have never been to Chucky Cheese - and seriously, everytime it comes up in the International media it is usually accompanied by a mugshot...from a mom that got into a fight with another mom...not good.

You should have been wearing army fatigues – and boots – instead of heels. Glad to see you had a scarf to make you happy.

Yes. Chucky Cheese is a place where little germs run around with no parental supervision. The parents don't watch their kids until they come back and say someone pushed me, someone took my turn or I lost my tokens. They expect you; other parents; the dirty looking chucky cheese character or the pizza waiter or the game machine mechanic to look after their kids. I HATE that place. When I'm invited, I have girls walk around with sanitizer. People that know me know I'm telling the truth. I fear germs and bad kids. It gets to me.

Hell it is, but you looked great. I can't stand places like C.C. I'd take the dentist over it.

Mommy feels your pain - she is hoping to make it through my entire childhood without ever having to go to Chuck E Cheese. Blech!

God bless you!!I don't know how much they pay their employees but it cannot be enough! I'm so happy my kids are older so I don't ever have to go to Chuck E Cheese or the circus(another place that skeeves me out) again!

We don't have a Chucky Cheese here. Guess I'm grateful. I hate people that let their kids run riot without paying any attention. Of course, I'm kind of lucky with my kids -- they fear me enough that they're pretty easy to control :). At least you loathed it in style.

Girl, you are so funny. I love reading your blog because you always put a spin on your everyday life. That's what so cool about your blog.

When my son was younger I use to hate taking him to Chuckie Cheese and Celebration Station because I knew I would be overwhelm with noise, crying, kids falling out and acting up, running around out of control while their parent are talking on their cell phones. Even as a parent I hated it. I took my baby though because he wanted to go but use to hate it. Thank goodness that is over for me. All of my nieces and nephews are grown, the youngest one is 14. Won't be going into any of those places anymore exactly for the reasons you mentioned!

I'm a mom and I won't set foot in Chuck E. Cheese. The very thought makes me run for my liquor cabinet. You may have been twitchy, but at least you were twitchy and fabulous!

BAHAHAHA! I was so glad when my kids got past the Chuck E. Cheese stage so I could stop lying to them: "Chuck E. eats birthday kids," "It burned down", "If we go the rat comes back with us!"

Oh God. I'm not a fan of kids under normal circumstances - CC would be my version of hell too.

But nonetheless, I'm totally feeling that hat on you with the leopard-print scarf. Fab combo!

Stoppin on by from SITS! Your blog title caught my eye so I had to check it out :)

I have a 6 month old and the kiddie parties in my future scare me a bit. He might just get parties at home where we can entertain with pin the tail on the donkey and the adults can have rum and cokes. Just sayin' It's a good idea! lol

LOL, you crack me up, lady. I feel the same exact way! CC is definitely hell.

You captured the essence of the place! When my daughter was little (and I had to take her or be shunned by the good parents) we called it "Chuck E Hell." Right up there with "Toys R Hell" at Christmas. But like the others said, you looked great working it!
