When One Doesn't Make it To Church

This is what one looks like the night before they should've gone to church...but didn't:(

Met some old friends and new friends out for a late dinner. One thing I know now that I didn't know before but should have known...apparently it's not illegal to smoke in restaraunts. I didn't know that...and now my vintage coat smells like I've been turning tricks with truck drivers.

(My hair is in a super high bun)
But not just any truck driver...the truck driver who wins awards for smoking the most cigarettes in his rig. I gotta watch the news more or would've known that people still smoke in restaraunts.

Thus...my new year's resolution...WATCH MORE NEWS!
(Urban Outfitters Tee/Zara skirt/Pour La Victoire Booties/LV Speedy 35/ Vintage overcoat/Aldo Earrings)

I would also like to share that I'm a genius (not really). These earrings I'm wearing got tarnished because I accidentally spilled Chic Fil A lemonade on them. I was driving and eating. The earrings were stopping me from enjoying my food so I pulled them off and placed them in the cupholder part of my console. Somehow, I wasted some lemonade on them and they tarnished. I went back to exchange the earrings but they were all gone. One would think that I would have just gotten a store credit. Nope. Not me. I went to Walmart and bought gold spray paint and voila...they were reborn.

Before smoking was banned in NYC restaurants I was able to tolerate the smoke smell. Now that I never have to smell it, I find it so shocking when I encounter it!

the earrings... love your solution!

i don't know what the earrings looked like before, but just thought i'd pass this on... you can easily remove tarnish with items you usually have at home. i used this on silver (can't remember if i tried it on gold).

1. Take an aluminum plate (or a regular plate covered with a piece of foil).

2. Add 1 tablespoon of salt and 1 tablespoon of water softener powder (or baking soda).

3. Then pour some hot (but not boiling) water onto the plate.

4. Stir to dissolve the powders.

5. Now you can dunk your silver in the solution.

: )

ummmmm I just hopped over here from Juanette's blog due to a comment of yours that went something like this "your hair makes me hate myself" ...and obviously, I laughed out loud. UHHHH, she has amazing hair though - and that vintage dress you gave her {I'm guessing?} is TODIEFOR!

ANYWAY, on to you ...lol ...I think God forgives you for not going to church especially since you look so good in that outfit ...I LOVE it with the coat!!

Ooh I LOVE the leopard tshirts - the cross or the peace sign, I cannot pick, they are BOTH FAB. Also loving your bangles.

And really, you can still smoke in America? The only place you can smoke in Australia is in a helicopter which is hovering at least 100 metres off the ground. In the bush. And you have a huge extraction fan that sucks the smoke directly through the atmosphere and into space. And also, it is assumed that if you still smoke you are a terrorist and kitten-murderer.

Anyway, love your shoes! And your hair. And your dog.
