New York, Here I Come!

This week, I will be headed to The Curvy Con events in New York!

It's a two day event, Friday and Saturday (June 17th & 18th)

I will be there as a blogger but my business, God's Favorite Surprises,  is also one of the vendors!

I'm so excited!

I hope to see your face.

I will be in work mode most of the day but hopefully I will get to sneak and do one fun thing Friday night or Saturday night! 

I wish I had enough time to do a little mini meet up!

Bye NY and Hello 37th Birthday!

Here are a few more shots of my haircut and hopping round town in New York.

I didn't get around to doing any official outfit posts because Juanette and I were too busy getting lost on the R! 

Brunch with the fabulous Audrey of Miss Moon's Musings and Toya of The Limerick Lane!

Toya is a total Harlem girl by way of Detroit and Audrey made a special trip from Brooklyn to hang at the Social Corner! 

I have no idea what I was saying or who was I talking to but this was the only shot of my "getting lost on the R"outfit. Target dress/shoes.

While in Harlem, this fab blogger of Finding Paola was just minding her own business and we all raced to take a picture of her!

She blogs about the "going ons"in Harlem with a side of style!

So good, right!

Oh and Chastity stumbled upon a segment on the Style Network while roaming around New York!

All in all, it was an awesome trip!

It was the perfect way to usher in my 37th birthday....which is today!

NYFW and the Cut!

New York Fashion Week....so many things!

Exhausting, fun, hot, epic!

Chastity, Juanette and I made it a point to arrive atleast for Fashion Night Out events.

So much going on, so much goodness.

Whenever I go to the East Coast, I immediately feel like I am supposed to be there.

I feel like New York is more along my aesthetic. The
"eclectiness of it all."

We made it a point to hang out and roam around (with our flat shoes in our purses of course)!

The next morning was the day of the CUT!

What an adventure for us!

I actually saw Faintly Masculine's blog and right then and there, I booked an appointment at the Devachan Salon in SOHO since I was in town.

Off I went...nervous and excited!

 There's no turning back now!

After the cut...before the shampoo and style!

And here is the Haircut! I love it!

Later we met up with Alissa of Stylish Curves (I've been wanting to meet her for the longest time! I heart her!)

Drinks and the BEST grilled cheese sandwich I've EVER eaten on this earth at Stellan Bar and Lounge!

I still think about that sandwich!

(My hair was shrunken initially but the next days, it stretched a bit:)
