Assumptions

Here's a "twofer". I wore this to work a few days ago...I was just too tired to post it. Lately, I can't seem to come home to take pictures of my outfits because I'm dying to get out of them. Plus, I've been working out lately and I have to run home and get ready for Zumba classes and such.
By the way...click here...someone actually thinks I'm cool:)

(ummm...I'm noticing that my romp looks BADAMN! in these skirts)
I wore this a few weeks ago. Really, I just wanted to show you pictures of the shoes. They make me happy.
Back to Zumba, let me start by saying that I am no Justin Timberlake or Usher but I think I can dance pretty well. Well enough atleast. I even pride myself on knowing how to zydeco (don't worry if you have no idea what that is), and salsa. My point is everytime I show up for Zumba class, I always leave feeling like I have no rhythm. I think it's because I'm usually disoriented by the middle of class and am pretty close to losing consciousness...because I'm out of shape.

I'm working on that but there was this chick in class...OH MY GOD! I swear to you that she single handedly managed to distract me because she was the classic description of a soccer mom but she was DROPPING IT DOWN LOW. I mean DROPPING IT!. It was funny because she couldn't dance yet that didn't stop her. I swear it looked like she was doing the River Dance...ON ACID but she didn't care. I couldn't stop laughing!

I know I am wrong. I'll say it again...I AM WRONG! But it was hilarious. Granted, I was the one who had to step outside to get resuscitated atleast twice but this woman was going for it. When the class was over, we happened to walk out to the parking lot together. River Dance Soccer Mom Chick got into a Maserati..I walked home.

yep...the joke's on me:(
But I can still dance better than her...just not for an hour straight...to fast music...with weights in my hands.
(sticking my tongue out)

I need to join a dance class to get in shape, mostly because going to the gym just doesn't do it for me.

Love the purple ensemble, by the way.

LMAO!!
Girl this made my morning.
I know that feeling I always think I look crazy when I know I can dance...but Zumba is a whole 'nother story.
and I've seen some folks give it 200% looking a HAM but they get that workout it.

A HUGE LOL. I love my Zumba classes even though my instructors really make me relive my rhythmless nation days. But like my instructors say, dance like no one is watching and that's what I do (I still can't samba - dangit).

To get over the distractions, stand in front. I've never felt like I was "good" enough to be in front because I take breaks (I overheat easily), but the past 2 weeks I have been in front for my kickboxing and zumba classes - it's cooler up there and you have a better view of your instructors.

Keep up the great work, it will pay off soon!

Can't. Stop. Laughing. Give me a minute...Okay Reiko...that is funny!!! Wooow...Well I'm a soccer mom and I can certainly pop, lock, drop, and dip it low! Don't sleep on us soccer moms. LOL!

Your Zumba story made me laugh out loud. I went last night and a lady in front of me was lost the entire time but looked like she was having so much fun. I couldn't help but smile. Glad I'm not the only one addicted to Zumba!

I loved this post! You are truly funny and have a great way with words.
I belly dance and I see lots of women who can't move it like I can but they are so tiny... it's such a weird balance.
OK, back to the sewing, painting the like!

she got into a mASERATI?!?!? well that just goes to show that money can't buy rhythm!!!! ahhaha! sadly i have neither money NOR rhythm, so you've got a leg up or two on me!

Oh, my -- now that I've read your blog, I really wish you were my friend! Or my friend who shops for me! Or my personal shopper! We are different sizes, so you could pick up thrift store stuff for me and wouldn't be tempted to keep it for yourself! I think you look great in everyone of your outfits, and the next time I feel shitty, I'm gonna pretend to be you. Also, and I'm not bragging, I write for a living every day and have for nearly 20 years. You write way better than everyone I know in the business and, of course, you write a lot better than I do. And you even know to keep the punctuation inside the quotation marks -- something other bloggers forget, perhaps to drive me nuts.

Oh my gosh! SO funny. I really want to go to a zumba class. But just for ten minutes. I think that is all that I can take!

Love, Fat Becky who can't dance worth a lick {and also does not own a mazarati}

How do you get so lucky at Target? My Target is lacking, I guess. I did a post a few days ago about Merona Mondays on the Target website. Have you seen that feature? They show how to put three outfits together with basic pieces. I likey!
