You never know where you will get your life lessons.
It can be in church.
From an elder.
From the bible.
Or from the drugstore.
I was in CVS (drugstore) yesterday to grab a birthday card for my buddy.
As I was minding my own business, I peeped two ladies behind me in their summer best.
Sexy shorts and even sexier heels.
Vintage Peplum Dress: Thrift store
Black skirt: Target
Clutch: Thrift Store
Vintage Charles Dourdan Sunglasses
Belt: Zara
Pour La Victoire Irina Shoes
One of the chicks was on the phone explaining to someone how Kevin Garnett (pro ball player) was across the street at Farragos, eating on the patio.
(Side note: It's 100 degrees in Houston, if you're a celebrity sitting on the patio...you WANT to be seen. #just saying)
At any rate, the chick told her friend that she was going to walk over there and convince Kevin Garnett to go to the other restaurant/bar across the street.
I screamed silently.
Not because of Kevin Garnett.
I'm not into basketball.
But the fact that I was about to witness how groupies work!
That was exciting to me!
So I scurried to my car and watched the whole thing in my rear view mirror.
I saw Kevin Garnett on the patio chatting with his B-ball buddies.
(Houston Rockets vet Sam Cassell was one of them)
I saw the girls sashay across the street.
Leg Longs. Hair to the waist. Gucci sunglasses. LV purses. And sheer determination.
I watched them approach the table and not get turned away.
I saw giggling gestures.
Hair being tossed over the shoulder.
A little texting....
Then I drove off.
Because I was going to be late to a birthday party!
But I was impressed nonetheless!
What do you think?
Do you think the girls were successful!?!?

I think the simple fact that they did not get turned away classifies as a successful groupie coup!! I see you tho... strategically unbuttoned - Give it to 'em!!
Wow!!!! Lol great story. That sounds like how they work here in NYC!!! Love that dress and that clutch too. So yeai guess they were successful and got what they wanted. Isn't Kevin Garnett married?

Had to comment about your outfit...I look forward to your fashion adventures... fearless and flawless...I LOVE IT!!! As for the groupie espisode...yeah, I'll bet they were successful (as far as groupie success goes).
LOVE your belt! Lol @you watching the groupie process! I would have done the same thing. Its so interesting to watch girls go in for the kill. Not sure if they were successful. I suppose that depends on what they considered getting the win lol.
Awww man!!! You shoulda stayed. I neeeeded to know the outcome. lol. Loving the dress and purse by the way.
Dear, you are waisting precious money by not writing a book! Not ony do you witness crazy hilarious stuff but you have a knack for writing the stuff so it is hilarious for us!...lov the dress....
First of all, you're wearing the dress!!!! Plus you're wearing the belt that you should've left at my house yesterday, so I'm loving this look between those two things alone.
I would've watched from my car too, lol, but i may have been late to the party (I wouldn't have minded, lol).
I don't know if she got him to go to the next restaurant, but I'm sure they both got something out of the exchange. By the way, neither Kevin Garnett nor Sam Cassel fall in the spectrum of attractiveness.
I'm like the others, I woulda been late bein nosy haaha. I'd say the fact that they weren't turned away and that some texting was going down equals a successful groupie operation. LOL. Love that belt!
I am a TOTAL Kevin Garnett fan, I probably would have went for an autograph lol! I don't get the groupie mentality BUT it's a full time profession, I know a few :-)
You're totally rockin and I don't know how? Can you wear tanks to church...ijs it was burning up yesterday lol!
Lol groupies at work, I think I know those chicks (you know who I'm talking about!) #SavedAndSexy Don't fall for it KG! If you want to know how groupies work, I'm sure she can give you a tutorial!
LMBO. I love you! I would've done the same doggone thing.
I think they convinced them to meet up later that night for hanky panky... other than that, nan. ;)
P.S. I'm loving your dress and the belt is to die for.
I guess if you spot one of those zealous ladies on an upcoming season of "Basketball Wives" you will have your outcome!!!!!
P.S., May I add my voice to the choir of praise for your ensemble?!?
Those were my thoughts too! They were auditioning for the next episodes of Basketball wives! Lol www.godsfavoriteshoes.com

Love that dress, and honey that belt....
They sound like established groupies to me, yep I would've been tardy to that party, lol.
You know what they say.. Great minds and all that good stuff! LOL
I really think that you drove off because you realized that it was TOO hot to keep snooping around in a hot parked car! I'm sure no one would've minded you being a tad fashionably late. Houston heat is nothing to mess with even if you've got A/C!
Regardless, you look wonderful btw. That Zara belt + clutch really set that classy look off!
