Clutched and Covered IS HERE!!!

You know those clutch cover bags I've been rocking lately?
Well, you now can have your own!
It's really a brilliant idea!
If you are a long time GFS reader, you know that I love a good clutch!

It just so happens that I have amazingly talented friends.
Rocquelle of Consider Me Lovely has officially launched Clutched and Covered!
Custom made clutch covers to slip over your existing clutch bags at home to give them new life!
Brilliant! Just Brilliant!

I was honored that Rocquelle asked me to model her creations with Ashley of  Medley, Inc., Public Relations Specialist extraordinaire!
We had a blast and I am so proud of Rocquelle for stepping out on faith and starting her own business!

Here are a few of the pics from the two day photo shoot.
There were tons of giggles, changing of clothes and maybe even a glass of wine or two.

That fab chic in the pic above is Rocquelle, the designer/boss/photographer/stylist/genius/model behind Clutched and Covered!

Please support Clutched and Covered!
Tell your friends! There are tons of fabrics to choose from!

Pass the word along!

Clutched and Covered will take orders now!

Rocquelle not only is the owner of Clutched and Covered, but she also is a graphic designer.
She is responsible for the GFS site makeover a few months ago.
Talented woman, I told ya!

Insta-Post!

Everyone is on Instagram...including me.
Sometimes, when there's no camera around, I'll just post what I'm wearing there and not here.
Not saying it's okay.
Just saying it happens.
Here's what you've missed over the last few weeks.

Yet, another social media way to keep up with everyone's nothings:)

ASOS dress worn to Free Thursdays at the Museum of Fine Arts- Houston.
(I kept thinking I was going to run into Solange there!)

Decided to blow out my hair one day

I wear these cut off shorts way more than you think.
The chevron bag....just you wait!
More details soon coming from Rocquelle!

Went to bowl in this outfit to celebrate a buddy's bday.
I do love a good pair of Chucks!
Hair in a scarfed updo.
(Thrift blazer/H&M Skirt/David Bowie T)

Rocquelle arrives to our seemingly bi-monthly cupcake date with this fab updo and even better pants!

Thrift dress worn with Steve Madden wedges/Zara belt.

The hubby and I stupidly decided to start the Insanity workout video together.
This is one of our post-workout pics.
I think I'm praying and he's hallucinating.
We've gotten better since then.
We're starting our 4th week of the workout this week.
Jesus take the wheel and drive me to the nearest piece of cake!

These Shorts Are Blocking My Blessing!

These shorts are the precise reason why I can never be a preacher's wife or a deacon's wife.
I've already had this discussion with my husband.

I'm not sure if I realized how short they would be.
I figured the long vest would disguise the shortness of it all.
Not successful.
But it was 102 degrees, so it's okay.
I just couldn't go to bible study in this or anything.
(Well...at my church that's not entirely true:)

(This picture right here...this is why my husband and sister were shaking their heads when I left the house! lol)

H&M Vest
Thrift clutch/leopard top
Zara Belt
Target shorts
BCBG heels

(Rocquelle and I seem to have created this bi-weekly habit of going to get cupcakes. It wasn't planned but since Kerissa snuck into town and Courtney made a drive by...it turned into an impromptu bloggy meet up)
P.S...thanks Rocquelle for the photos!

Speaking of inappropriatness, the hubby and I are celebrating our one year anniversary next month in VEGAS!
(Can you believe it's been a year already!?!)
All of you Vegas veterans, what should we add to our "to-do, must eat, must see" list!?!

Chicken and Waffles

I had a breakfast date with Rocquelle.
We went to the Breakfast Klub.
ROCQUELLE's serpent tongue (joke!) wanted chicken and waffles and mimosas!
I, my friends, did NOT have any.

If you follow me on twitter then you see my morning tweetpics of my view as I WOG (Jog/Walk).
My weight goes up and down.
It always has. I just choose not to blog about it because I try to dress cute at any weight.
Plus, if I start talking about it....then there's THAT pressure to not eat chicken and waffles.
And I fall off the wagon alot.
If you notice, I steer clear of labeling myself on my blog.
Not that I'm against those who choose to do it for me.
But it puts me in a box
I'm just Reiko.
The girl with a southern drawl who loves dresses and a really good shoe.
I like to just do me.
Whatever that means for that day.
And without the labels...that means I can eat chicken and waffles every now and then.

(Prince Tshirt/ Vintage Skirt gifted by Juanette/Dolce Vita sandals/Thrifted clutch)

But I didn't eat them this time.
Rocquelle did.
But I did watch her eat chicken and waffles.
And she lived to tell about it!
I had scrambled egg whites/toast and sausage.
I was okay with that.....

Only because my hubby cooked chicken and waffles the day before! LOL!
And I ate it!
And life goes on!

(Full disclosure: I lost 4 lbs last week...COMPLETELY on purpose. I'm just trying to make better choices/eat healthier. A small milestone was fitting into this skirt again. I don't plan on blogging much about weight/weightloss just because that's not my ministry but you can follow me on Twitter/Instagram and you might see a glimpse of some things I'm doing there. With meat on my bones or not...I try to live a full and happy life no matter what)
